Momentum Tech Conference - Event Roundup!

Momentum Tech Conference 2017 is a startup conference that happened on 6th and 7th February, 2017 at Expo Center, Karachi. It was organized by Asif Jafri and Amir Jafri (the Jafri Brothers) and it gathered all the leading incubation centers and academic institutes to one neutral platform. 

The conference was a huge gathering of entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, academics, students and technologists from all over the country. 175 Startups participated in the conference and 15 known investors announced their plans to invest in our local startups. 

The conference happened within three halls of the Expo Center where one hall was made into a Technology exhibition where companies showed their products and tech gadgets. The second hall was made into a Startup Village where startups were exhibiting their services and products to the investors, mentors and all the visitors. The third hall was for speaker sessions and the conference hosted some wonderful speakers. 

The keynote speaker lineup included, Dr. Nadeem Hussain (Founder, Planet N), Miss. Jehan Ara (President, P@SHA), Syed Irfan Ali (Executive Director – State Bank of Pakistan), Junaid Iqbal (Managing Director, Careem) and Raza Saeed (CEO, Pakwheels). Two panel discussions “How to fund your startup?” and “Building Stronger startups faster” were scheduled for day two. Miss Jehan Ara (President, P@SHA) was also awarded with a lifetime achievement award on behalf of the conference organizers. 

The conference ended on a positive note and with a promise to contribute even more for our local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
